Starting from the concept of the project, we found that comedy really helps people come closer. At the beginning we had our reservations as we thought that the sense of humour of different cultures may not be the same, but at the end this proved not to be a problem at all. Also the fact that the project involved drama, art (scenery, costumes, leaflets and posters), dance and singing proved to be a very successful idea as it involved students of different skills and talents. Therefore a larger number of students participated and were given the chance to demonstrate their talents and also improve them. Building confidence was part of the whole procedure and in many cases this was so obvious! The project also promoted creativity, team work and the use of English as a means of communication. The organisation of the meetings was excellent. We had the chance to both work together with other partners and also visit other countries, see how it is to live in a foreign country, learn about other customs and cultures, learn songs of these countries and even learn a number of new words and phrases (both from the dictionary formed specifically for the project but also from our partners). The most important thing is that the project brought together people from a number of countries and by working together, both teachers and students had the chance to form new friendships. It is so important that somewhere in the world, outside your own country there are people you know and you can come in touch with them any time you want.Building bridges between nations is not a difficult thing after all. It doesn’t require civil engineers and builders.
Just a big heart, good will and a smile!

In addition to Harrogate students from the five partner countries have acted together in a single play. • All pupils have learned during a meeting of folk dance and song, and at the conclusion of representation of all students in the partner countries have had the opportunity to sing all the songs are typical of the folk tradition. At the last meeting of the project was awarded to pupils in five schools of the best attested as actors and as better performance. The host families and colleagues partners has been very warm . Different educational and cultural activities that were organized during the 5 meetings, such as excursions and educational visits to places of particular historic and artistic interest, enriching the cultural background of students and teachers. The teachers directed the student in the phase of project and in the elaboration of the story , supporting the pupils in the production of the manufactures and for the organization of the exhibition and performance. Each teachers involved in the project could deepen their competence and knowledge about cooperative methodology and different system of instruction through the same didactic courses and the common production of material, augmenting intercultural dimension. The participation of the pupils and teachers to the activities had been large. All the pupils and teachers agree to consider the project very positive for the school and the local community

Patrick Sheerin:- I loved doing the drama. I loved coordinating with people from other countries e.g. Meetings and outings. I also loved being let loose with friends around parks or museams (sorry, can't spell). I loved the singing. I loved the parting with just comenius. I loved it!

Dear All,
We have just arrived and totally exhausted although we were filled with
energy and love in England.
Dear Rachel, thank you very much for the perfect organization and warm
welcome. I couldn't write you a text message, but I tried it so many times.
I wanted to tell you that we reached the train to London in the very last
moment, and we couldn't say thank you to your colleagues who took us there.
Please tell them, that we are really very grateful, and we could't manage
without them.
Natasha, I also wanted to give you a 'final hug', but didn't find you. Hope
we all meet again some day!!!
Thank you Natasha, Annita, Enza and Rachel! And all the others for their
help - It is like an Oscar celebration.:)
Love and kisses,
Ildiko
